Special prizes for the best players in the two open tournaments To encourage participation in both open tournaments, special prizes will be awarded to the best players, who play both the Chess960 Open as well as the Ordix Open. Distribution of the prices is based on the total number of points scored in both Chess960 and the Ordix Open.
The distribution of single prizes for both tournaments is based on the relative number of participants of the two tournaments. The relation of the prizes for both tournaments is calculated on the number of participants following the formula: participants Chess960 Open/expected number of participants Ordix Open. The expected number of participants Ordix Open is set on the day before the Ordix Open starts plus 25%. The value of 25% is based on experiences in the past. Rules and regulations Monetary prices will be distributed among eligible players by secondary rating. Pairings are determined by the rules at the FIDE Congress at Puerto Rico.
